Connected comms
Unified lobby, match, Team, and Party chat keeps every conversation connected as the pursuit moves.
Our first major Steam update expands how teams communicate, build, fight, and express themselves, backed by a wide pass of polish and fixes.
Unified lobby, match, Team, and Party chat keeps every conversation connected as the pursuit moves.
A three-stage upgrade system adds meaningful Buy-phase choices, refunds, and collectible stage kits.
The free pistol, magazines, reserve ammunition, gradual reloads, and broad weapon tuning reshape every engagement.
Reactive car faces, elimination finishers, co-driver previews, and presentation upgrades bring the garage and battlefield to life.
New ways to communicate, customize, upgrade, and fight as a team.
Added lobby chat and unified chat routing: All chat works in lobbies and matches, Team chat is available during matches, and Party chat stays connected throughout.
Party leaders can now transfer leadership to another party member.
Added a three-stage vehicle upgrade system. Each stage applies a cumulative set of upgrades and can be purchased or refunded during the Buy phase:
Upgraded vehicles can now drop stage kits that other eligible vehicles can collect and install.
Added a free semi-automatic pistol for the Secondary weapon slot.
Added magazines and reserve ammunition to all firearms. Weapons gradually reload one round at a time after a short idle delay, and firing interrupts the reload.
Reworked Beam Blast into a steerable beam that tracks aim, remains active for its full duration, and stuns new targets caught in it.
Added Sword Impact and Paint Explosion elimination finishers, with different weapons triggering their assigned finisher.
Car faces now react to gameplay with focused, angry, happy, excited, concussed, sad, and V-Mote expressions.
Players can now recover eligible devices they placed. Devices return a charge immediately during the Buy phase or enter a short cooldown when recovered during play.
Added a flashing Buy-phase warning when a Gem Cart is not attached to a vehicle.
Added a garage co-driver selector with live previews, an equip button, and saved skin selection.
Added a persistent setting to show or hide the crosshair.
Expanded custom-match cheats with round-timer pause/resume and buy-restriction controls. Cheat use is now announced in chat, and match-wide actions remain limited to the lobby leader or host.
A clearer, faster, and more readable experience from the garage to the final collision.
Retuned weapon roles, recoil, impact slowdown, equipped speed penalties, and range falloff. Headline weapon values are now:
Added a reactive ammo display with firing feedback, empty-ammo pulsing, dry-fire feedback, magazine count, reserve count, and gradual-reload progress.
Redesigned the speedometer and stamina display. Stamina use, recovery, active moves, and insufficient-stamina attempts now have clearer visual feedback.
Improved ability icons, weapon glyphs, teammate health visibility, dead-player dimming on the scoreboard, observer cards, and Gem Cart status presentation.
Updated controller shortcuts: D-pad Up cycles weapons, Down drops equipment, Left seizes the Gem Cart, and Right opens V-Motes. Spectators can also switch targets with the mouse buttons.
Devices now show clearer owner, ally, and enemy visuals. Demon Scout scan effects also match the correct team relationship.
Vehicle upgrade parts now animate into place with installation effects, sound, and physical feedback.
Improved co-driver weapon models, hand placement, equip and holster presentation, muzzle lighting, and skin previews.
Improved garage lighting and several garage, buy-menu, social-panel, pause-menu, and observer layouts.
V-Mote music now uses its own audio mix and ducks background music more cleanly.
Improved engine, weapon, movement, and V-Mote sound behavior.
Improved support for full 5v5 custom lobbies and observer slots, including more compact and reliable lobby data.
Reduced startup and menu delays by loading the active car and co-driver loadout before the full garage inventory is needed.
Steam friends currently playing Arcanos One now appear before other online friends.
Reorganized the custom-match cheat panel and improved controller navigation, unavailable-action feedback, driver-change restrictions, and permission handling.
Dozens of fixes across combat, matchmaking, abilities, devices, presentation, and audio.
Fixed duplicate weapons appearing after rapid purchases, refunds, resales, or same-frame repurchases.
Fixed several buy-menu issues involving incorrect highlights, unavailable purchases, refunds, weapon buttons, and controller focus.
Fixed weapon selection and reselection losing authoritative cooldown or attack timing, including quick input releases and interrupted gradual reloads.
Fixed weapon cycling selecting unavailable slots or failing to include the unequipped state.
Fixed misleading damage-number feedback when weapons hit breakable scenery instead of a combat target.
Fixed completed or abandoned online matches attempting to reconnect players to a stale session after returning to the menu.
Fixed online garage requests being made too early or too often, reducing throttling, missing loadouts, and failed car or co-driver initialization.
Fixed lobby chat initialization, message delivery, duplicated or stale messages, voice integration, channel colors, and player join/leave notifications.
Fixed social-panel display and focus issues, including friend context menus and Steam friend ordering.
Fixed elimination events being processed more than once, stale death snapshots affecting a new life, and incorrect self, team, or enemy elimination-feed attribution.
Fixed spectator targeting selecting dead, missing, or otherwise invalid vehicles, and improved automatic target selection after eliminations.
Fixed finishers failing or appearing differently for the host, lingering after respawns, restoring the default death presentation too early, or leaving target visuals in an incorrect state.
Fixed Paint Explosion cleanup and target paint restoration, plus several Sword Impact timing, placement, scale, and impact-effect issues.
Abilities that can affect any vehicle now deal 50% damage to teammates while retaining full damage against opponents.
Fixed ability hit confirmation for Deflect, Scout, Flash, Oil Spill, Radar, Soda Blast, and Spike devices.
Fixed Kimi Heal's secondary activation and Spin Failure using the wrong vehicle physics reference.
Fixed Niki Clone placement input, camera locking, preview cleanup, and interrupted placement behavior.
Fixed Demon Scout scan sizing and team visuals, Demon Deflect presentation, and Beam Blast aiming, attachment, stun coverage, and effect cleanup.
Fixed Niki Flash, Mo Oil Spill, and other placed devices interacting incorrectly with level or vehicle barriers.
Fixed devices spawning at stale positions and several placement, ownership, pickup, and despawn edge cases.
Reworked vehicle collision damage to use forward speed and relative closing speed, preventing harmless brushes or sideways movement from causing heavy ram damage while preserving high-speed impacts.
Fixed stuns freezing camera movement; stunned players can now look around while vehicle movement remains disabled.
Fixed Launch Control applying inconsistent speed caps or removing speed-limit bonuses supplied by other effects.
Fixed teammate and enemy highlights not refreshing after team, observer, or viewed-player changes.
Fixed the Gem Cart warning popup becoming stuck or displaying at the wrong time.
Fixed missing or stale ability and weapon icons in the player HUD and observer panels.
Fixed vehicle engine, V-Mote, and Swivel audio routing or modifiers producing incorrect sound behavior.
Fixed co-driver weapon visuals duplicating, remaining visible while holstered, using the wrong model, or starting with muzzle lights enabled.
Take the new upgrades, weapons, and team tools onto the road in Arcanos One.
